ILR Holder - wife overseas doesn't know English - What to do

Hello guys,

I have received ILR last month

on the settlement form VAF4A - part 8 it asks for
english language requirement.

My wife doesn't know english. What to do?

We have a daughter(2.5 yrs) as well, they are in india both of them.

All other aspects of application are fine.

your help appreciated.

What category of Tier 1? Is she eligible?

If you are asking can she apply for entry clearance as a Tier 1 dependant, then the answer is no.

I meant entry clearance.

So now after my ILR the only route for her is

can come on visit visa and apply after giving english and lifeinuk test?

They can't apply from within the UK. In order for a visitor visa application to succeed you'll have to show strong evidence that your wife and child will return to their home country without overstaying. This may be difficult if they intend to settle here and have no strong ties to home.
Your wife doesn't need to pass the Life in the UK test at this stage...only the pre-entry English test.

 spouse or partner of a student
 visitors

 spouse or partner of a member of the armed forces applying under Part
7 of the Immigration Rules

Indefinite leave to remain is settlement what you apply for after 5 years on a spouse visa under the new rules. However, there are English language requirements for settlement, more so from October.

like 1 for my wife's application
and 2nd for my daughters application

i know you need to fill different forms for each applicant.
