I think you can do any business as long as you maintain your main business.
When did you lodge your appeal?
Where is your appeal will be heard?
What was the refusal reason?
Many Regards

Yes you can start your other business before your application is decided but you also need to continue with your main business.

You may be asked to provide supporting documents during your hearing that you are active in your main business.

So continue doing both businesses but at the time of hearing just concentrate on the main business and do not tell them anything about the other business as that will make things complicated.

Hope that helps

Dear Friend jumping one to another business especially whilst appeal being dealt brings a bad impact on your overall case because when an appeal is decided judges look through every each aspect together with particular reasons led to a refusal. as you wrote one of reasons is the contents missing on contract in such a time when they doubt the trading(objection on contract is case worker not being satisfied with trading activity) change of trade will not be a wise decision.

you should get more contracts with the required contents on as Mr Entrepreneur wrote will be helpful in terms of appeal support. believing the fact that changing business one to another is allowed as guidance says but while appeal it is hard to prove you a genuine entrepreneur when you change business in such a short time as few months.

over look what I wrote above if you have different circumstances or any better understanding...

thanks...
