Opening a ltd company and wrkg on Tier 2 Gen Dependent visa

Hi All,

Can anybody let me know if there are any restrictions on opening a limited company and working on a Tier 2 General dependant VISA.

Any inputs are appreciated.

By reading the paragraph I understand there is a restriction on working as a doctor or dentist and there is no restriction on opening a limited company and being involved in any other work.

Hope my understanding is right, please reply.

working for that company as a director or taking divedents as a seperate thing which is not allowed if it is not same SOC ode for which u are sponsored and if u work for more than 20 hours

Thanks for the reply.

I am on a Tier 2 General DEPENDENT visa hence i should not have any problem doing any work other than working as doctor or dentist. I hope the work i would be doing is not related in any way to the work mentioned in the sponsorship letter of the main applicant. Please clarify and let me know what is "SOCode".

sorry i took it that u are on tier 2.
As a dependent u can open a ltd company and do whatever u want with it.
U can also work as a doctor and dentist. Only thing u cant do is doctor and dentist in training. (which is different to working as doctor).
hence, u are free to do any thing and dont have to worry about what occupation ur partner is on.

I am acutually a dentist did my bachelors in dental science back in INDIA. Can i work here as a dentist under the Tier 2 dependent VISA after clearing my ORE. Please let me know if you have any information on this.

i your tier 2 has been issued as a dentist, and if u work no more than 20 hours a week as a dentist AFTER finishing ur required hours for which u have been given the visa for, then no probs..
