Hi,

my friend just gave birth to a boy. She is in the UK on Tier 2 and her husband is on Tier 4. His husband visa is longer.

Now they are confused that who should act as the main applicant and is it generally acceptable that in similar occasion, the parents themselves decide who is the main applicant and who is the other parent?

In the other words, does UKBA require that the other parent to be dependent of the main applicant?
