Also if you can find the email address for contacting the EU person's embassy in the same email, CC:ing that probably will not hurt either. Or the foreign minister of the EU spouse ..

If you can, I would strongly suggest writing a letter rather than an email. A letter is a lot harder to overlook and it sits on your table until you deal with it. You can also send it by registered mail.

Write a letter well and you can, like with email, use variations of it to send to different people.

And remember to keep a copy of all letters you send regarding Irish immigration, no matter who you write to.

I would have to Agree letter demands a response and action however those of us who have been waiting nine months dont really have time to enter into lengthy correspondance with the department

In my honest opinion, I think you either have to wait for quick news from the heavens or you have to settle in for the long haul of lobbying (in Ireland, in the EU home country, and to the EU) and taking legal action against the Irish government. I don't think there is an active option which is realistically quick.

This is the decision facing some of us particularly in my situation not being a high earner and having to work two Jobs to support me and my wife (and its not like we are living the champagne lifestyle) Its either hold in for the long haul or bug out. not having the money for appeal or the energy to work two jobs any longer nor am i willing to let my wife just scrape around for things to do when she runs out of things to do and be bored.
