EC Filing : Three Questions

Post by madanrm » Wed May 16, 2007 6:50 am

Guys ,

Some basic doubts .

1. Should spouse and primary applicants fill two VAF1 forms.
2. Is there any difference between primary and dependent visa ( i am assuming both can work in UK)
3. What are the docs needed for spouse. Should we show pay slips, bank stm..etc

TIA

Ahmed,

If you have an offer letter which shows decent salary then I think a low bank balance should be ok. They look for bank balance so that you don't use their public funds. Anyway to be on safer side you can ask someone from your family to be your sponser.

Madan,

You and your wife should fill seperate VAF1 form. You should write HSMP and she should say dependent of long term stay...

If you are saying that you have sufficient funds in your a/c to support your family then she need not fill her bank balance or show payslip else she need to fill that and you can show that it is your joint money.

yes spouse can work on HSMP dependent visa.

aprilhsmp wrote:Today I submitted EC form. My findings:

Today I submitted my applications (mine and my dependents) in Bangalore office. Some key points.

1. They accepted 50x50 size photos.
2. You can glue the photo. Also take photocopy of you VAF1 first page and 8th page.
3. Take photocopy of first and last pages of all passports that you are submitting(urs and dependents). They seal and return it back once you submit the forms.
4. Main applicant's passport all pages photocopy is required.
5. Integra form was a 1 page(shorter version of the form available on net) and second page was a listing of what all points claimed and proofs gives at HSMP time.
6. after filling integra form you need to get a photocopy done of that form as well.
7. Integra needed employer info for only past one year.

I submitted following documents in original.
For EC
1. all my hsmp documents.
2. hsmp approval letter
3. EC forms VAF1 for myself, spouse and child.
4. marriage certificate+photos
5. birth certificate of child.
6. accomodation proof hotel booking receipt
7. last 6 months bank statement
8. all the passports

For integra
1. first and 8th page of VAF1 form photocopy
2. integra form and its copy
3. salary slips 2 months photocopy
4. degree photocopy
5. photocopy of all pages of my passport

I paid fees in cash. There was a queue and it took me around 3 hrs to get everything done.

They do not allow laptop and other electronic items in the office except mobile which should be kept switched off.

yes. it was kind of part of the integra form. Very simple 1 page form where u need to tell how many points for each section of hsmp u have claimed.

Hi All,

Can someone provide a sample format for Financial Status Letter from CA?
I have spoken to one CA, who has prepared such doc in past but for other countries and not UK. So he suggested to confirm if we have some example.

Hi PB78,
I think you have covered all the documents perfectly and this should for sure give you positive results. Best of Luck.

I have few questions if you can answer....

Q) How much liquid amount you are showing ?
Q) How much fixed asset you are showing?
This two things are again very important for putting ur case strongly.

Can you help with the following :

1) Can you suggest few job sites or consultants address for doing job search in UK ?

2) Do the employers reply positively without having a stamped visa ?....since I have heard that if you don't have a stamped visa then the employers dont reply positively or show any interest.

3) From which city you are applying ?

Hi Mohan,

Thanks for your wishes.

I am planning to show around 5000 GBP in the form of bank savings, which I think should be good enough.

I don't think it is mandatory to disclose one's fixed assests. Hence I am not disclosing any.

Well, all I did interms of searching for a job was to key in 'Uk Jobsites' in google and research from the result. I also forwarded my resume to my friends in the UK.

As you mentioned the employers are a bit skeptical about people applying for jobs from outside UK, even though you mention your HSMP reference number in the resume. However it also depends on how deperate the employer is, in trying to seek your kind of profile etc.

I am applying from chennai.
Anyways good luck with your EC.

Hi Rajan,

As far as I know, the VFS will handover a one page form that one needs to fill and submit along with photocopies of last degree certificate/transcripts, 2 salary slips, offer letter/relieving letters from employer for the last 1 year, address proof etc..

Members who has successfully obtained visa, please comment.

Folks,

I have a query. While we submit the HSMP approval letter along with the complete set of documents sent to seek HSMP, should we also add the same cover letter (with list of documents suppied along with their explanation)or can we just list the documents in the cover letter for EC?

Please clarify

Hi NACE,

You cannot bypass VFS and apply directly to the BHC.

Hi Pb,
Thanks for ur reply.

As u said, 5000 GBP is good enough to show as a saving amount in bank.

Thanks for sharing how u did ur search for job in UK. Infact i am also going to try the same. Forward the resume to few friends and then apply online and be optimistic. And i don't think its mandatory to have some sort of offer letter from uk employer after having HSMP approval. Right ?

Let us know once ur ready with ur documents for apply for EC. Share ur document list ..........I am also preparing the same and planning to apply asap. You can reach me personally on mohanmudaliar@hotmail.com too....I think we can share with each other what ever we learn while preparing the EC documents.

Answering to ur question: You can keep the same covering letter with the set of documents and approval letter and make a seperate covering letter for EC.....that's better.

Hi Rajan,
Whatever PB has written about Integra is absolutely right ......infact ur visa fee also includes the charge for Integra Evaluation.
