Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

Hi guys,
I applied for my wife's visa from Lahore.
13/05/13, application forwarded to Islamabad oc 13/05/13, however the status has not changed since then. I know there's a few in the same boat but I was wondering if it should be under process by now. Or is it actually under process? The status of Islamabad oc is rather confusing. If tha application is put on hold because of the income threshold appeal will they let the applicant know? Good luck to everyone this week.

I still havent recieved anything from my M.P..

Hi Sameena,
I think you should wait for a week and then rmeind afterwords....HO doeas take time to even reply back to MP's...its really a game of patience ..all the best

When mp contact/ mail to BHC,then is they mail u tell anything regarding application???

Guys sabar.. Most of us have done the hard work of 60+ working days..

Let them take as much time and hope they grant us visas first time.

hey guys im fed up but what can we do.. soooooo instead of mailin my lovely local MP I mailed Lord Nazir.. purely because hes of the same background as me and will understand frm all aspects.. addressed him as uncle rather than lord hahah..

I think Uncle Nazir is very good and helpful...

so inshallah hope he gets in touch with me soon! altho my time is up I reckon it will take 3 more weeks atleast for me

I have no idea, my application status hasn't even changed from forwarded to Islamabad oc since day one. I will be e-mailing them soon just to make sure they haven't "lost" it.

I think you should wait... Did you get one of them automated replies that says we have received your email? If not, then email again 2morow, personally i would...

I think they will email those concerned, they should but this is the UKBA so don't count on it.

I want to apply my wife visa from pakistan as she has done her law LLB degree from pakistan which was taught in english .....but in some places UKBA guidance doucment mentions I should get the english assessment letter from NARIC and some say I should get statement of comparability . I am confused as to which document we should provide..

will the statement of comparability and original certificate help?

I would advise that your wife does the A1 english test, they pretty much reject anyone who claims to have done a degree in English regardless of whether they actually have or not. In fact it's the most common reason for rejection.

Or on the other hand you can do what msot people do, apply thinking the degree is enough, get rejected and then wonder where it went wrong.

Sounds rude what I've said here, but it's the truth. I've seen many people with degreees rejected. But I've yet to see any single person with the A1 test pass rejected. So what more people are doing is just doing the A1 test irrespective of whether they did a degree in English or not.
