Urgent Urgent !!!!!!!!!

Post by pra_S » Fri May 18, 2007 10:31 am

Hi Frnds,

I've so worried about renewal of my wp. I got two years wp and its expires on september this year. I have applied for another company and they have given me letter of appointment as well. Now i want to transfer the wp to the new company. The problem is I'm not sure about the previous company's tax payments. (Whether they have paid or not), Also I dont have a history in bank to to show them (bank slips) because some times they paid by cash or by personal cheues. Will this effect my application for the renewal thing.

Pls advice me on this asap.

Thanks in advance.

You CANNOT transfer a WP in the UK...

The new company has to make a fresh application for you after following the various procedures. And if it is successful you have to apply for FLR

You do not seem to understand....if you move to a new company there will be NO renewal or transfer of your work permit. You will have to go through the work permit application procedure all over again because the new company will have to apply for a fresh new work permit for you.

That is not the end of the journey, because the new work permit will only allow you to work for the new company, but it does not give you permission to be in the country. This is called Further Leave to Remain and it will have to be applied for seperately by yourself at the Home Office either in person or by post but most sane people go and do it in person unless you want to risk losing your passport in the post.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

I am still confused as to how is your current employer's tax status in any way related to your new WP or your new employer??

You will ultimately need to get some accounting in order if you end up applying for ILR.
Your current employer's malfeasance with NIC does not make you liable for anything unless you were in on it.

No Someone told me that when you are (they told me this process as a transfer) applying for the wp they will ask for bank statemnts and payslips and tax details ..etc. Will it possible you to give me a list of docs to be submitted.

There are plenty of threads explaining what you have to submit
I was responding mostly to your concern of the employers lack of paying NIC.

One of the clauses for applying for a WP is your new employers "papers" should be in order and not your old / current employers.
