ESOL and IELTS

With the introduction of ESOL requirement, can i please confirm if IELTS is acceptable as ESOL requirement? If i do IELTS will i meet the ESOL requirement

you need 4.0 in IELTS and the test cannot be older than 2 years old.

See the KOLL requirement (click) but note that from October a further English language requirement will be introduced.
