I emailed ukba for an update on my application and was told that an invitation letter was sent out on the 19th of July. Since i did not receive the letter i sent them another email on 3rd Aug and was told that another letter will be sent. A couple of days ago i again checked with them for an update and was told that due technical error they have yet to print out the letter and would do so a soon as possible... I have received a reply from them yesterday and they told me what is the fault. They also told me it might take some days to week ...but assured that they are working to resolve technical issues and I should be received the letter shortly. So I think ball will be rolling soon. Cheer up everyone.

Hi, I had to re-submit my payment slip as when I received my acknowledgement letter I was advised I had not included the payment slip.

I found this odd as I double checked I had included the payment slip with my application. Anyways I posted the payment slip again on the 16/05/2013, UKBA received it 20/05/2013 and my Fee was debited on the 10/06/ 2013.

I have email UKBA twice now regarding the progress of my application and both times I was told " no decision has yet been made on your application."

So, what is that fault please skyiswide?

Fault is technical. ..in their system it is not letting them print off the letters so no letter have been sent out recently. It is a software fault. And even in the meantime some applications getting aproval but again they ae not able to print out those letters..some of them....so they decided not to send out any letters before system being fixed. You can ask your local mp to email them for accurate information.

Date Of Receipt Of Approval: 12.08.13 (Letter Dated: 22/07/13)
Date Of Ceremony: 20.08.13 (Luckily My Day Off Work)

Just Spoke To The Council And They Said They Only Do Ceremonies Once A Month And For This Month The Only One Is On 20.08.13 As It Was My Day Off I Booked It Immediatley.

Hi is your invitation and approval letter was on the same paper or two seperate letter ? I can see your approval date was before me so system problems didnt effect you. That's good. Wish you good luck for oath and passport application.

Today just couple of minutes ago I phoned my local register office and here is the conversation.

Lady- Good Morning..register...office

Myself- Good Morning. My name is abc ...I have received my approval letter more than 3 weeks ago and I was wondering whether you have received my naturalization certificate yet ?

Lady- what's your surnane

Myself-c

Lady- we have received some certificates yesterday

Myself- by the way I phoned you two weeks back and you told me to call after two weeks.

Lady- no your name is not on the arrived certificate list and recently home office faced some it issue so may be your will come with next delivery.

Myself- do you know when you will get next delivery

Lady- no sorry I have no clue but normally it comes Tuesday wed..so may be next week.

Myself- when the next ceremony will be

Lady- September one is full now so end of October ....we only do one ceremony a month.

Myself- how much private ceremony will cost ....

Lady-119 pounds family one and single is also 119 pounds.

Myself- if I book a private one will I get an appointment within a week.

Lady- I cant book anything before certificate arrive. And we will write to you. You will receive another letter from ho invites you to book a ceremony.

HO should release some press statement or have news on their website if they are facing problems like this for more than a few weeks.

This will keep people well informed and put their minds to rest as to what is going on.
