2. My cousin was saying that sometimes Home Office Rep does not turn up at court and judge just makes a decision normally in your favor.
3. I am really scared never went to court can you advise how the judges are as my lawyer said most of them are fine but one or two in Glasgow just look for a point to refuse.
4. How long does it take at court and what questions does the judge ask.
5. Can you tell if your visa has been overturned there or you need to wait for determination letter and how long.
I have answered all these questions in previous posts within this thread, maybe 10-15 pages back.
But here goes.
1. Yes, the case can get overturned even the day before the court hearing, it has happened before and purely because the Home Office representatives don't want to get insulted in court.
2. About 30-50% of the time no one turns up from the HO and so the judge asks you why you should get the VISA, and almost always unless it's a difficult case, he'll pretty much rule in your favour.
3. All judges have to make decisions based on fact and the correct decision, some will seem more strict than others, but they are accountable and can be prosecuted like any one else, so they have to make the correct decision. If you have evidence and know you meet the criteria for a VISA, why worry?
4. Most cases don't last more than 10 mins, in fact I've only ever heard of one going more than 30 mins. Judges don't like wasting time, no one does. So expect to be in and out of their within 15 mins tops.
5. They usually give you some form a sign to let you know you'll get your VISA, a smile or a nod or something like that. But they usually don't say it verbally, that will come in the determination letter. The call letter from the UKBA regional office be it Islamabad or Abu Dhabi varies, sometimes it's quick and you get VISA within 5/6 weeks. Other times it's longer and you could wait a further 3 months. I don't want to get your hopes up high but you're lookign at about 2 months on average.
