T1 routes for MA graduate, previous PSW

Post by AndreyM » Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:45 pm

Good afternoon Gurus,
I've been in UK for 8 years (5 Tier 4 + 2 PSW + 2 Tier 4 now).
Next year I graduate from my MA course and hope to start working again and then get ILR. I'm on 540 days of absence already, so can't leave.

Through past 4 years I have been successfully and legally working on films for National Geographic, BBC and other companies. Most of them were about Russia, my home country.
Now that I have many contacts within the field, continuous flow of job offers, I want to turn it into a business - many companies need very specialised that I can offer. I also have good opportunities for providing employment to UK citizens.

1) What are my routes for starting a company in UK and getting a visa through that?

2) Which routes would allow me to apply from UK, so that I don't break my stay and not waste my absence days? (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... /applying/ - I read this, but it's still not clear, what if it's my family funds?)

T1E :

3) As far as I understand I have no chance of applying for £50k entrepreneurial visa, because I have acquired student visa after my PSW visa? (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... igibility/). True?

4) If I go for £200k visa, can part of my investment be buying an office space? Could someone brief me about possible routes of investment?

5)I have a business partner, and she has double nationality - Greek and Russian. How could an EU business partner be helpful in this situation?

6) What if I don't invest all of my £200k in 3 years, go through ILR and Naturalisation… Then I wouldn't have to deal with not investing the whole sum?

7) Students are not legible to switch into £200k route now? What's this about, what's the logic behind this? Any way around it? http://www.immigrationbarrister.co.uk/B ... eneur.html

8 ) I have had PSW before, does it mean I can forget about this route all together?

T1GE: (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... repreneur/)

9) I have had PSW before, does it mean I can forget about this route also? Or exactly the opposite?

Also, I need an advice on acquiring a sponsor's licence. What are my chances of doing so? ( http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/busin ... gmigrants/)

Is it true that I can not apply from UK? Or rather only if my funds are provided by UK business?

10) If it's true that student can't switch to £200k, previous PSW holder can't switch to £50k or T1GE, does it mean there are no routes, and all questions above are pointless?

Hope for you advice. I have read 15 pages of this forum, and still confused about many things. Excuse if I made crude mistakes - there are so many points to consider for my situation, it's hard even after doing maths degree.
