ILR - SET O form

Hi,

Can anyone guide me on Set O Form Section 6 Immigration History.

I understand we have to fill this section even if number of absences in each year has not exceeded 180 days.

My ex employer does not have record of my work related absences or paid annual leave. Is there any way around this? Will a generic letter suffice?

Write down the absences, if they're less than 180 days per 12 month period you shouldn't be asked for evidence.

To support the list of absences do i need to show the visa stamps arranged in a template? Is it enough to show a copy of the passport, ofcourse the original will also be submitted.

I have opted for the same day service so will be attending in person.

If the absences are less than 180 days in any 12 months period there shouldn't be any other questions about such absences.

Did this work? The language of Set(O) 6.2 and 6.3 says that evidence is required for all absences. Under reason for absence, is it okay to just say "Holiday". What should be checked under 6.3 if no evidence is being provided?

I guess, giving as many evidences as possible is the best option.

For example my current employer will be able to certify my absences, however the last employer can not.

I any case i am well within the limit of the 180 day rule, so hoping this should be sufficient.

I am struggling to fill this section as well .. i came UK in 2004 as student and got my first high skill tier 1 in 2008 and now applying for ILR

Q 6.1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based

what date should I put in as first entry 2004 / 2008 ?

Q 6.2 Since then have you had any absences from the UK? If yes, give the dates you left
and returned to the UK and the reason for the absence in the spaces below. List
all absences however short and in date order. .....

I have not been out of UK since I got my first tier-1. Should I still need to mention the absence from UK ( 15 days in two occasions BEFORE MY QUALIFYING PERIOD STARTS... paid leave ) ?

if yes do I need to produce any evidence ?

Hi Raat123,

Just seen you post and to the best of my understanding i think the following:

6.1 - 2008 as that is basis of 5 yr period in your current application.

6.2 - you need to evidence absences only in the 5yr period so i dont think you need to include the previous ones.
There is no harm in taking a separate letter with a list of those absences (prior to 2008) in case they ask.

Hope this helps. I am no expert so dont rely on this.

Hi All,

The appointment yday went very well and i have been granted ILR.

For absences i submitted the followinf:
1) a detailed list of absences from UK from current employer

2) letter from self for gap between 2 employments

3) a generic letter from previous employer saying they do not have detailed list of absences, however all absences were within terms of the contract.
