A change to premium booking service appointment process

Post by Subbarao » Tue Aug 20, 2013 9:49 am

Please read - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... um-booking

Looks like need to pay the total fee when we book the appointment online.

That will help those who worry about a payment being declined on the day. However, it won't help those with a tight budget or those who potentially make an error (getting refunds will be fun).

IMHO, this is a good change as it will facilitate the genuine people and block the dodgy bookings.

Did the £100 fee alone not accomplish this?

Yes and No. There are still many people who book multiple appointments (just in case).

I don't think there is any harm in Online Payments. HO should also introduce a prepay system for postal booking using their website to avoid any payment failure delays for applicants.

The more the automation the better it is :)

I already have a booking for next week. I can still see my confirmed booking online.

Do i need to pay the fees or is it only for new bookings?

This is really a good move. Now we won't worry about card being declined at PEO.

Sure. I have just posted it so that people will be aware of the new changes and plan accordingly.
