Referee - Assistance for British Citizenship

Post by dnshah2k » Mon Aug 05, 2013 2:59 pm

Hello,

I am applying end of this month for British citizenship and require help about following.

1) I had traffic offence in July 2011 for jumping red signal- I have had an Fixed penalty of 3 point and £60. I would like to know should I require to mentioned in AN form (As it was only one Fixed Penalty and that too 2 years before)? if yes then which page or part of the AN form?

2) Referee - My wife works in private limited nursery, Can her Nursery Manager be a referee for her?

I will appreciate if some one can respond to this questions quickly.

Thanks
Shah

Jumping Signal

Post by VR » Sun Aug 18, 2013 6:56 pm

DNshah2k,

Were you summoned to court or given a traffic ticket which you paid without having to court? If out of court you can go ahead and apply and dont have to check the box your were convicted etc. But as a matter of Integrity mention it in the page Information not covered in other sections.

If you went to court then you will have to wait 3 years from July 11 before applying. Put in your application Before October 2013 if the fine was settled out of court.
cheers

Yes, I haven't went to court. They took my License and charged £60 and told me to pay that at Police station and collect your licence from there.

I have paid that in time and collected my licence from police station.

I have asked this question because during My ILR application my agent have ticked this Box in ILR form and then mentioned about this Offence so was bit confused whether i should tick or not (I have got my ILR in last July).

Thanks VR, I will mentioned under Information not covered section about this offence?

Please also let me know what should I write under section 1.1 of AN form Please give Previous Immigration and Nationality Directorate or Border and Immigration Agency or UKBA reference Numver, MY ILR Ref number?

AN Form

Post by VR » Sun Aug 18, 2013 7:40 pm

Try to complete the form in Block Letters (Black Ink).
Make a list of all those points you have doubts on and PM me.
I will help you complete it.
Meantime get an appointment with your NCS that does not have to wait.

Now 1.1 Leave it blank
Start from 1.2 giving details of your Passport Number . You dont need to fill up everything and produce imaginary information for them.

Hi VR,

I have already booked my appointment on 27th of this month with my family of total 4 members.

I will leave 1.1 blank and will PM you if any doubt in the form.

I have one of my family friend as 2nd referee, he have mentioned "Family Friend, his age and his designation Goods In Manager" under option "say how you know the applicant and state age and profession" is this correct?

Cheers

Company Secretary

Post by VR » Tue Aug 20, 2013 12:13 pm

Ksiu,

What do you mean?
a) The one one high heals, plenty of make up and swagger? If yes then you can use as the second referee if above 25years and holds a British Passport.

b) If it is a Professional Company secretary
http://www.prospects.ac.uk/company_secr ... iption.htm make sure they have the required Professional membership and qualifications. As in England it is not uncommon for people holding positions by virtue of their experience rather than formal qualifications.

Hope this helps.

Referee Requirements

Post by VR » Tue Aug 20, 2013 12:19 pm

Dnshah2k,

The requirements are quite straight forward.

1. One referee should be a professional from the list of acceptable professions.

2. The second should be
aged 25 years or over
not related to you
not related to the other referee
not your solicitor or agent representing you with this application
not employed by the Home Office"

So I guess you are fine.
cheers

Yes she will be as a Professional Company Secretary.I will ask her about qualification,so if she does not have qualification she can't be a professional referee. But she does all things which is in your link, because she boss's mum.So anyway thank you for your reply.

Relationship

Post by VR » Tue Aug 20, 2013 1:23 pm

ksiu,

This is getting more juicy!!!....

Jokes apart just because referee a worked for the same company as referee b it is fallacious logic to say they are related that is unless you have ''exclusive info'' like juicy stories!! Even then a legal relationship is what they will look at. LOL

Thanks VR,

Can you please also guide me for 1.22?

What option should i select, I have passed Life in UK test last April and then applied my ILR in July. so I have satisfied the requirement of Knowledge and life in UK for ILR (settlement).

Which option I have to select option 1 or 3 in section 1.22?

What should I write for option 1.27?
Mother's full name and maiden name.

Should be Tarala Naresh Shah & Tarla Devidas shah both as Full name of my mother is Tarala Naresh Shah and Maiden name is Tarla Devidas Shah?

Early reply is highly appreciated.

Cheers
Shah

Re: Referee - Assistance for British Citizenship

Post by Costa1 » Fri Jul 25, 2014 2:02 pm

Hi there,

I would like to apply for British Citizenship, and I have a one of the referee already...

The other referee must be a holder of a British citizen passport and either a professional
person or over the age of 25.

I would like to ask if anybody knows if the second referee could be any individual as long She/He is 25 or over, or She/He
has to be 25 and over and has a professional standing.

Is the diffrence of the referees in their nacionality?

Costa
