Evidence of Funds and currency - HELP

When filling out the Appendix 8 form for a UK student visa and sumbitting the evidence of funds - which in my case I'll be providing bank statements - does it have to be in pounds?
We haven't switched currency so all our money is in USD. I won't be paying it all at once, and I'm also getting a student loan, so I'm not switching it all over.

Yes, it has to be your bank account and the money has to be in pounds. Also, don't forget to actually wait for 28 days while the money is in the bank account. This is as much as I know.
