Switichig to Tier 4 geeral

Post by katushal88 » Tue Aug 20, 2013 3:53 pm

Hello,

I have got Tier 1 dependat visa which expires at the end of 2013 and now I want to switch to Tier 4 General. I know that I need to do it outside the UK, from my country, I am just worried is it the same process as new application for Tier 4 (general), or swithcing means something different? Thank you in advance.

Switching means making an in-country application to change immigration categories.

You cannot "switch" to Tier 4 but may change your immigration category from a PBS dependant to a PBS migrant. To do so, you will need to apply for entry clearance as a Tier 4 migrant from outside the UK.

Thank you very much. If I live in London (my visa expires in dec 2013) but I am going to my home country to apply for Tier 4 visa what shall I write in VAF 9 form in "your contact details" section. Shall I write my London address or my home country adress? Thank you in advance.

how can they contact you here in London when you will be required to make an out of country application?- so you must provide the address you can be contacted on in India.
