Hello,

I am not sure if this is the right category to post this question however, I need some help and would like advice from the experts.

Basically, I have lived in UK for the last 10 years and now I have indefinite leave to remain along with my wife.

My brother was also a resident of UK and had a British passport however, late last year he passed away at a very young age. He had two small childs.

Around 8 years back, my parents visited me and my brother (At that time, i was a student and my brother on work permit) and my dad passed away. To comply with the rules, we submitted an application for my mum and she was given a residence visa for one year.

Followed to it, my mum requested a 5 years visit visa and she has been visiting me and my late brother.

Now her visa is about to expire and i am wondering if there is any way i can request an indefinite for her or any resident permit so she can stay with me for over 6 months at a time.

It's very difficult to get ILE for adult dependants, you should consider the Surinder Singh route.
