maintenance funds for Tier 2 ICT(Long term staff)

Hi,

I got the Tier 2 ICT ( Established staff) visa on 20/10/2010 for 3 years, valid upto 20/11/2013. Now my employer issued new COS in Tier2 ICT (Long term staff) for visa extension.

Do i need to maintain £900 in the bank for 3 months? Because when i checked in the UKBA website under maintenance funds, it suggests

"You will also automatically score 10 points for maintenance if you are currently in the UK in one of the following immigration categories:

- any Tier 2 category

I suggested my employer to tick the option for maintenance funds while applying for the COS, but he said he did not find any option.
