ILR 10 Year long residency - How to Confirm days out ?

I'm planning on applying for ILR based on 10 year rule, however these 10 years I have been a student Since 12 years old....

I've been to Boarding School for 6 years and University for 4 and now about to Start Masters in UK

I have changed 3 Passports since 2003 (due to expiry), one of them (1st one) can't be located.


How can I determinate how many days have I spend outside UK in past 10 years ?

PS I have requested my File from HomeOffice, and I got it, there is no information on days in and out....

Did you travel with a family member? Kept any diaries, boarding cards or ticket stubs or receipts?

Travel alone, and no didn't keep any tickets or dirties, I was 12 .... didn't think I would need it....

Who made the travel plans or paid for the travel tickets?

if you counting on them remembering, I will get better results calling British Airways and Aeroflot and Transaero and every other Airline and asking them.

but on a serious note, up to maybe age 16 17 it was my parents one or the other, some paid in cash some car, after age 17/18 I bought tickets my self. But counting it from some emails would not be very reliable, some tickets where bought but never used for whatever reason, I remember I missed a plane in 2007 ...

Dose home office not have record of this ? how are they checking it ?

Surprisingly, the UK normally has no embarkation records for many years now.

Im reading somewhere about 1/2 life for under 25.... wonder if this can be applied to me

I got here in September 2003 I was 12 (birthday Nov 89)
now im 23...

now im 8678 days days old

I was 5045 days old when I came to UK, 3630 days in UK 41% of life ... I guess that's not enough for it ...

will it still be considered you think ?

So I was able to locate some of the booking email from my mother account. but even with that that's not a complete history.

What do I do about it ? is it a best effort thing ?

its a near impossible task ?
they don't expect me to contact the 4-5 Airlines I travel with to ask for data do they ?

If home office does not have records on SAR file about your days in and out and 1st passport cant be located how would home office prove you were out if you wont mention .

from what I understood is works on the biases that - I have to prove I was here, and not they having to prove that I wasn't.

you can show school records etc to prove you were here for the years that you don't have passport

im playing devils advocate but wouldn't they just ask about Summer Holiday, X-mas, Easter, x6 years

I have not idea what to say about those, and to be honest im entirely sure myself ...

I came to UK on 11 JAN 2004. I am applying for ILR under 10 year rule before the end of January 2014 (my current leave runs out on 16 March 2016 HSMP tier 1 GENERAL).

I have received my SAR file today from Home Office. All the data seems to be in order, except for 1 thing.

During 2008, my visa was expiring on 31st March 2008 (student Visa and applied for extension). Home office received my application on 26 March 2008.

I forgot to fill the section on forms from 7.2 to7.6 which were mandatory. As a result in the SAR documents I received I can see on 14 April 2008 my case was rejected and it has notes/minutes saying .. Application not completed section 7.2 to7.6 are mandatory, there fore application rejected and returned all documents including passport and other supporting documents. Dated 14 April

I received the returned documents along with a letter next day by filling the section from 7.2 to 7.6 according to SAR home office received my documents again on 16 April 2008.

In the SAR file I can see a decision made on 10th May 2008 and they granted me visa until 31st October 2009
What concerns me and why I have told you this whole story is the following:
1- In the SAR in case record sheet for the date 10th May 2008 when the leave to remain was granted, there is a note saying "previous application rejected"
Question: Given the circumstances above, is it safe to assume, a gap has occurred and the ILR clock has been reset in 2008?
Can this argument be used to say that, actually the ILR clock has not been broken?
I have seven time visa extension and all time applications were made on time except this rejection mentioned above though it was submitted on time too.
