invalid application

Post by fasaal » Mon Aug 26, 2013 3:06 pm

Hiya,

I applied for in time student visa extension in January 2011 which was returned to me as an "Invalid Application" coz of fee. I received this application after 5 days of my visa expired. I sent the application again to ukba next day and get the student extension in 2011 for 6 months. Then PSW extension in 2011 for 2 years. In both applications there was a question that "Have you ever overstay in the UK?" I said "No" in my last both applications. Now the rules are changed there is 28 grace period after your visa expired. I am confused now coz if I'll answer yes to that question then UKBA may ask me why you have not mentioned before and if my answer is No then UKBA may say that I hide some information.

Guru plz help me

Technically, you are an overstayer if you remained in the UK beyond the end of the period of your leave and also beyond any Section 3C/3D leave.

However, in the case of an invalid application due to payment problems, then the UKBA has to prove that your application was invalid.

So u mean I have to put "YES" the answer of that question and also write the reason that "invalid application coz of non payments of fee" ?
