Can PIO be converted to OCI in future for minor

hi

coming here after long time!

we are british passport holders with OCI. Our daughter was born earlier this year and just got her british passport. she didnt have indian passport.

Need to apply OCI or PIO for her. As i understand PIO is little bit cheaper to get and doesnt need to be renewed with passport.

So may be PIO is better option. however i am happy to be corrected! Can a PIO card be exchanged for OCI later?

Exchanged? No.
You'll have to apply for an OCI ... and pay the associated fees.
