I am still not sure if absence letter is essential as some people with less than 180 days of absence do not seem to have submitted it. From what I read in the link below they seem to need it from 25th July but I may have missed something. It will be helpful if someone pointed out what made them believe it wasn't needed.

I was away on a business trip for a week during previous employment and this wasn't mentioned in my absence letter. However, just on the day the HR kindly emailed me another letter saying I was on the trip. As I couldn't get this original letter in time I submitted a print out (along with the original letter that missed the business trip). It may be that there was no cause for concern and I didn't have to go through all the rush and trepidation. It's done now and will treat myself to a beer this week!
All the best.
I believe there is a significant number of "silent readers" in this community. It would be helpful if we all posted our learning and experiences here at least some times and not leave all the good work of sharing useful information to a few.
Hi Mate I am in a similar situation.krisVisa wrote:I do not have all 5 years P60, so sent mail to record retrieval team for employment history [requested a week back...not yet received ]
Can I still go ahead?
