Can dependent of tier 4 switch to tier 2 general?

Switching in-country not allowed, dependant has to apply for entry clearance from home country.

I check Tier 2 Guidance page no 4, its says you can switch from dependent of Tier 4 to Tier 2 general in country application. may be i am wrong. please see below link.

sorry I misread your post - dependant partners of T4 students can switch

Dear: manci

Its confirmed dependent partner of Tier 4 student can switch to Tier 2 as per UKBA Guidance.

Afterwards what happens to Tier 4 main applicant after dependent switch to Tier 2 General.

Tier 4 main applicant can switch to Tier 2 dependent category in country application.
