Dependent visa application

I am on Tier 1 general. Do I have to be doing a permanent job to be able to apply for dependent visa or can I apply even if I am not currently working ?

does not matter if you are working or not...
You just need to provide proof of maintenance funds for your dependants..along with few other standard documents ...
