I still have the Biometric ILR what happens with this status / Card?

What I remember reading in the forums before is it is still valid as a card when it's read in the machines of Border Control however since you have become a BC your card does not mean much anymore.

Home Office does not require you to send it back to them for some reasons.

and what happens if you renounce your original nationality? In this case one of the details in the card is incorrect. Do you have to return it to the home office in this case?
