Software Engg wants to go to UK... Where do i start ?

I am planning to migrate to UK via the HSMP route. I am not sure where to start , what ground work is required to get HSMP approval and subsequent EC for migrating to UK. Another concern I have is regarding the chances of getting a job offer from UK while residing in India. Please advice.

Best route for you is to check if you qualify for hsmp.
If yes then its the best route for you as you can work in any employment here.
But bear in mind it can take you sometime to get job in your field so i suggest please dont leave your job in India and come here, come for couple of months and try.

Thanx for the reply ... I feel the same ... and would be doing the same myself ... I am not sure where to start looking for jobs in UK. Once the HSMP and EC is through the clocks gonna start ticking for me ..and i guess it would be better to have something in hand before flying out... could some one point me in the right direction here .. regarding good job consultants for UK in and arnd delhi or ncr...eagerly awaiting response ....
