Spouse visa application from China

Post by David223 » Sun Sep 15, 2013 12:08 pm

Dear All, my wife and I were married in China in June 2013. We had been living together in the UK previously for 6 months and together for 1 year as a couple all together. My wife had previously applied for a Leave to Remain visa in Feb 2012 with a previous boyfriend. Soon after her application was admitted however, their relationshop broke down and they remained just friends. This visa application was rejected in April 2013, as they said her relationship was not loonger than 2 years so could not be judged as a 'long term relasionship'. We have applied for a Spouse visa this June 2013, but my wife is a little concerned that she had previously failed to inform them that her relationshiip with her previous boyfriend had ended. She was unaware at the time that it was required, as she was under the impression from her solicitors that she was applying for more than one reason. Would this affect her new Spouse visa application?

I only know from what I have read that because she has applied before with another guy that to prove your relationship is subsisting and genuine you might need to show lots of proof and an interview may be required for them to check you are both genuine....(which I am sure you are). Bottom line is that there is no reason they can refuse you if you are genuine and can show the right proof and documentation.

Xia xia xiaoqiaodan, we did off course enclose photos, various letters from friends and family stating that they have regularly socialised with us and the many photos and comments included on facebook from friends. I appreciate your help!
