spouse visa for my wife outside UK, book flight ticket firs?

Post by macjackbauer » Mon Jul 15, 2013 1:52 pm

hi all,

I have just got my uk citizenship but have not got my passport yet, I want to get my wife over to the UK asap.

I have met all the requirements from UKba sponse visa, but there 2 things that I am not really sure:

1) as I have not applied for uk passport yet, can I send my nationalization certificate to her for applying the sponse visa, if this is ok, what should I fill in , in the passport number field of the sponse visa application

2) did she need to book flight before she can apply for a visa, as there are a "expected travel date" on the application form.

thank you all

2) No. Don't pay for any flights prior to visa being granted.

As Vinny said dont pay yet. You can do a reservation though pending payment. Some Air services provide this option.

Just leave the passport number field empty if you havent got the passport yet. Explain this elsewhere on your application or on your cover letter.

If you've got them - it's far better to include them.

The more evidence the merrier!
