Tier2G payment when booked appointment

Hi all,

I have booked a PEO appointement in Sheffield for a Saturday (which I find a bit odd) and I had to pay the full fees (£953) then to be able to have my appointment confirmed. Is this all normal? Last year when i applied for Tier2, I paid the fees at the PEO and not when I booked my appointment.
