Diploma & naric

Post by try-one » Fri Sep 24, 2004 2:20 pm

Hi,
My diploma is from a US university, but it is not acredited by NARIC, should I submit my diploma hoping that the HO person will see a US diploma and let it pass, or would they check NARIC all the time? if they check and find a diploma not acredited would it affect other areas? I'm currently studying for a masters, but it would take me 12 months......

Thanks for the help....

Hi try-one,

I don't quite understand what you mean by "not accredited by NARIC". Did you actually write to NARIC asking for a letter and/or certificate of comparison for your Diploma and did they come back saying that they don't recognise yours to be a valid diploma? Is your diploma a two or three year full-time certificate course?

Remember that any foreign diploma is compared to the BTEC (Business & Technical Education Council, not B.Tech!) certificate courses by NARIC.

Regards,
Dhilip
