Buddy, I recon send one everyday ... you have paid a hell lot of money and tracking your application is your absolute right !!! And to respond to your email is their duty and their pay check comes out of the fees YOU pay...Derivaz wrote:njoy1987/neosealnjoy1987 wrote:Me 2 hurry up slow coachneoseal wrote:

Ha ha I didn't send one today no; I send an email every 2 weeks; how often were you sending them?
I've already got 2 "no decision made" emails; next week will be the 3rd one lol
I can't check yet, I'm in the office haha; I'll go home in a little while
They usually take 2 days to reply, so emailing every day wouldn't make much sense, but i could email every week, instead of every 2 weeks; but I don't want to be a pain in the butt; that's what I decided to email every 2 weekssunil.suneel wrote:Buddy, I recon send one everyday ... you have paid a hell lot of money and tracking your application is your absolute right !!! That said, I don't see much trust in their responses either, it could just be dumb copy/paste....
That's what I'm doing, every 2 weeks.neoseal wrote:Thanks Sunil.Suneel.
Derivaz, no not a good idea to email every day. I still think every 2 weeks is fine. However I have a feeling that you will not need to do that.
In the wake of looming postal strike, may be UKBA will process faster...
I haven't done that yet, but I would imagine that you can call the new council and request it; I guess then this council will contact the previous council to send your certificate, but you'll probably have to pay the £80 fee again, since the ceremony is already bookedilr_hsmp2007 wrote:Hi,
I have got the Citizenship Ceremony for 15-OCT.
Is there any way I can move on to another council to get the ceremony earlier. How to do that?
The council will need to return the certificate to the HO who will send it over to the new council. You will also need to provide a good reason for the change (save time is not a good reason) and it will take several weeks at least.ilr_hsmp2007 wrote:Hi,

15 October is only 3 weeks away. It's not so bad.
I suggest you call the council and ask. If they have the certificates already, they might be OK with you collecting them now.ilr_hsmp2007 wrote:thanks,Jambo wrote:The council will need to return the certificate to the HO who will send it over to the new council. For Kids, is allowed to go an collect directly the certificate and only allowed to collect after my Ceremony?

My advice is: keep it as simple as possible, the HO make enough mistakes on simple cases, making it more complex is asking for trouble; so I'd just attend the booked ceremony and get it over with; if they have to send the certificate back to the HO office and then back to the new council, it might get lost or god knows..... I'd keep it as simple as possible.ilr_hsmp2007 wrote:thanks,Jambo wrote:I suggest you call the council and ask. I am trying to reach Birmingham CC Team over phone for last 3 days no one picks up the call. I might visit tomorrow directly.
Yes, valid point...Derivaz wrote:My advice is: keep it as simple as possible, the HO make enough mistakes on simple cases, making it more complex is asking for trouble; so I'd just attend the booked ceremony and get it over with; if they have to send the certificate back to the HO office and then back to the new council, it might get lost or god knows.....
