Applying Citizenship in Nov - English Language requirement

Post by renzokuken » Wed Oct 02, 2013 1:51 pm

Hi,

I am planning to apply for BC in Nov. So I will have to meet the new language requirement. I've met the B1 requirement for my Tier-1 application in 2010 by submitting IELTS result. How do I prove it when I am applying for the citizenship?

Regards,
Renzo

I have the same question. Not sure if the expired IELTS test result will still be valid or not.

I read the document from http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... hip/kol-uk, which says in page 3:

If you already have a qualification at B1 level
Applicants who already have an English language qualification at B1 level or above will not be required to take another one. For example, someone who demonstrated a knowledge of English equivalent to B1 level when applying for entry clearance will not be required to take a further test in order to qualify settlement.

Can anybody have clearer thoughts on this?

This is the same topic but the one you pointed out has not covered this. I am still happy if someone can explain if we could use expired IELTS/TOEFL test results when we submit during the original entry clearance application a few years ago.

Thanks in advance!
