Indian Passport renewal in UK by post

Hello All,

I have sent the application with all docs last week by recorded delivery post to CGI, Birmingham. How many weeks they will take to return the new passport?

Also, will I receive any confirmation regarding my application received by them?

Hello All,

Received yesterday my new passport.

In brief -

Applied by recorded post on 13th September with return addressed envelope, posted to Birmingham.
Documents sent - original passport and biometric card with copies, completed form and postal order of £52.

Acknowledgement received on 25th September and received new passport with old one and biometric card yesterday 2nd October.
