New english language requirement for naturalisation

Post by monzurul92 » Tue Oct 08, 2013 10:48 pm

Hi, I will apply for naturisation after 28th October 2013. I've passed Life in the uk last year. But as per new rule I will need to pass B1 level speaking and listening test.

However people who have completed bachelor/masters level education in the uk will be waived from the test. I have completed a post graduate certificate course in UK. Would I be eligible for waive?

Thanks

Not based on a diploma, unless you satisfied a B1 requirement for your PBS application, if applicable.

Hi
Which part of UK are you from ? If the post graduate certificate is recognised on the point based calculator of the UKBA you will be fine. Remember UK NARIC does not equate UK Qualifications. My partner got naturalisation after submiting a post graduate certificate in education. so you will succeed.
good luck
