HSMP Renewal - Is Priority processing possible?

Post by madankumars » Wed Sep 29, 2004 7:16 pm

hey guys

my hsmp visa finishes on 01/01/05. According to the HO website I must submit my passport 2 months before my visa expires (i.e. on 01/11/04)

My father is not too well at the moment and I would like to visit him back in madras during the christmas vacation, so it would be extremely inconvenient for me if this stupid HO shelves my passport for 2 months.

Would it be a good idea if I write a letter to the HSMP team explaining the situation and ask them to prioritize my application?

-OR-

Should I submit my passport around 01/10/04 and hope to get it back by 01/12/04?

I will submit the application on 1/11 but write a letter to them about your situation. Then I try to include copies of your air tickets and/or some hospital bill or letter from your father's doctor stating his conditions as proof of your situation.

The other thing is to try and call them to hear what your best options are.

Hi Madan
Can u please explain the reasons for leaving the UK, so that other who have applied and those who r in the process of applying can gain from ur rich experience.

Regarding ur query, u can apply early along with sufficient documents stating the reason for early hearing of ur case.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!

i dont want to discourage prospective HSMP applicants....

I came here in Jan'04 after spending 4 years in australia, with the idea of settling down, but... the uk is not what i see as a place to settle down. i dont see any improvement in my quality of life compared to living in india (australia is a mil. times better) . the weather is shit. i prefer warm places, which is why i am heading for west coast united states...

if u r planning to make enough money and go back to your home country to enjoy the benefits of your hard work, this could be the right place for you. not if you are planning to settle down and spend the rest of your life.

cheers
madan

madankumars,

I see so you r prefer warm places, and r heading for west coast united states... then why the hell r y trying to immigrate to Australia, as y r always seen hanging on the Australian immigration site.

So y keep one place in mind and refer the other.

is that any of your business?

its my wish that i will move wherever i want to.

if it is bothering you, i have a job offer in the US so i will work there until my AUS pr is processed.... it takes a year or so for that

anyway the AUS pr is valid for 5 years so you can go there anytime before the end of 5 years after it is approved

and FYI sydney IS a warmer place, compared to london.

good luck mate with your UK endeavours

hey, wait a sec... WTH are you doing in the australian immigration site?

oh do you?

is there no "dude catching" job in the UK, which is why you are still sitting in your home country?

or do you find the agents "peculiar" like 'teeboy'

i know what i am doing...

i have no need to be jealous of anyone, but i think you better start looking for "highly skilled" high street jobs in the UK.... with your "HS"MP visa
