Previous earnings query

Post by vishalsunr » Tue Jun 05, 2007 11:47 am

Dear Friends...
Please let me know, if i want to apply in the end of this month i.e. june-07,
pay slips of which all months should i show to calim points under previous
earnings category.

i.e. if i want to apply in the end of june-2007 then
should i show income of
1. April-2006 to March -07 or
2. May-2006 to April-07

I have my income tax return for march-2006 to april-2007.
but are there any risk to show there months as they are near border
line of 15 months limit... and i also have pay slips of all the months
i.e. from april-06 to may-07....

Please kindly let me know which months should i show to calim points
under previous earnings....

Please reply urgently......thanks
Vishal

I used the time frame ending in March 2007 and the HO said that in order for that time period to count, my application had to be received by the end of May (it did!).

So for you, I think you have to use the second period - it's now too late for the April-March period to count.

Hello
Can you please clarify that you spoke to someone at the home office? How did you come to know that for the period April06-march07 application should have reached HO by end of May07? Essentially they specify i can claim any 12 month period within last 15 month period so according to their written notes, 15 month period would be till end of June starting from April 2006 would be till June 2007. So if application reach HO by end of June 2007 i should be able to claim the period bvetween Apr 06 and March 2007. And no where in there guidance they have mentioned that for period between April and March (next year) applicaiton should have reached HO by end of MAY.....or is it written somewhere in the guidance and i have missed it? If that is not the case then we should have fair grounds for review!!!!

How can the home office say like that..... if you used time frame ending march 2007 then it is in last 15 months thresold......

Senior Members ... please clarify....

Vishal,

After reading a reply from one of the members to your post; it prompted me to contact Home Office again. I did and then say that for them to consider April 2006 to March 2007, application should max reach in June.

So, I feel you are safe. I'm not sure why the HO said otherwise to the dear member as rightfully it doesn't adhere to the last 15 months clause.

PS: If you have June deadline to meet send your application clear of 7 working days. Note this as it is very important. This is for you to be on the safer side.

My case; I sent my application on May 28, courier delivered it on May 30 but got an acknowledgment stating they received it on 01 June. That is why precisely I say keep 7 working days as the threshold if you are meeting the time deadline - June.

Hope it helps!!!

- Deeps
