Hi rb7575,
Integrascreen has not verfied with my HR in India, but I guess they have verified with my HR in UK ('cos I have produced my UK's payslipss as latest payslips)..
I am not sure about verification of Degree.
I think, one should not be scared about this verification as long as he/she has genuine experience. Just give a HR personnel's email-id and direct number. Also, give the employer's direct number (i.e. board number) in case that person is on long leave (u never know.. to be on safer side..)

Has Integra verified your Degree & employer?

Hi All,
While I am filling The VAF1 form for self and dependent , I had few queries. Thought to take guidance from you to give the best answer-
Question
Section 5.3
Why are you going to the UK? I am going on HSMP, shall I write -With intend to make UK my permanent home?
What is the most appropriate answer?
Also what should we fill for dependents? Travelling with Husband/Father etc?
For Minor (Dependent)-Section 3.16-
How long will you be staying at this address?
If I am going to stay at a friends place(I have invitation letter saying he is going to take care of finance/acco etc until I find a suitable accomodation) whats the appropriate answer?
Shall I write-Until my father finds a suitable accomodation ?
Section 6.11-Who is paying for your stay?
I intend to show around 5 lakhs rupees in my account. I also have a Invitation letter from friend in UK
Shall I write -Partly Self sponsered and partly <Friend name >
If I write only friend's name -will there be a risk of case being weak?
If anyone can share his thoughts/experience it would be helpful.

Hi Mohan,
Thanks a lot.. here goes the answer to your questions..
1) any interviews or cross verification with present employer ?
Debz says: No interview. Not very sure if they verified with my employer in India.
2) did you submitted CA asset report alongwith ur EC file?
Debz says: No. I submitted my bank statements, only (2 savings a/c - One in India and one in UK)
3) what did you showed to prove that u can get a job easily once u land in UK?
Debz says: Nothing. But, if you wish, you can give print-out of jobs of your profile from UK job sites. You can give a copy of your resume too.
Hope this helps.

Hi Debjani,
Thanks for your instant reply and clarifying the questions........this for sure helps people like me who are at the initial stage of preparation for EC.....so now we know, that CA report is not mandatory....showing a job offer is not mandatory....
that's great to learn.
Deepak: We await ur reply or inputs too........since people who have got approval and give their inputs are really more valuable...hence we wait for ur reply too.
thanks once again to debjani and wish u best of luck with ur stay in UK..
BEST REGARDS
MOHAN

Hi Aprilhsmp,
BHC/VFS does not inform you, once a decision is made. It is you who has to do the trackking with the reference number provided during submission of the EC application (for better result one can call them, as well).
After stamping is done or application is rejected, the passport and other docs are couriered back to you (by Blue Dart.. You don't have to pay extra for this.. This is by default..)

I need a suggestion regarding having suffient Bank balance for maintenance in UK. As the British Government wants to know whether I have enough balance, does it make any difference as to the source of funds, as long as there is sufficient funds.
We would normally not keep high Savings account balances but would have invested in FDs, Stocks, Jewellery etc. As we would require to keep enough balance for maintenance in UK, can we not sell these investments or borrow from friends etc?
Please give your inputs

u gotto have a running account....as if 90% of the amount is just recently fed..he might be curious that its just there for temporary basis...u can show property like car, shares etc but not jewelry...u can borrow money but not teh whole amount....like my frnd did borrowed 1.5 lakh Pak rs out of 5 lakh pak rs.....this is acceptible

Hi gsurendra,
what adnan has written is absolutely right but one addition is , I think they will also consider ur jewellery, since that can be easily sold and can get money anywhere in the world............and they for sure see for those money which u can access immediately if needed........and without using UK Public Fund....

I'll applying for EC in July and need some advice:
1) How much bank balance is required if I have a dependent coming along with me?
2) Do they consider Shares, FD, gold as liquid assets?
3) Can I show my parents partially sponsoring me?
Thanks,
HP

i was wondering what proof one could give in case of jewelry; like its very difficult to prove its yours...shares, property and automobiles are in yr name n one can provide original documents of that.

What is the exact intention regarding having sufficient funds? Is it to have funds enough to maintain till we find a suitable job in UK?
If so, then the fund should be highly liquid in nature i.e. Sufficient Bank Balance.
Can anybody give an extract/URL providing guidelines given by UK Govt on this subject?

In that case we should have money in highly liquid form i.e. Bank Balance. How can we show properties like Car which cannot be sold too soon to help you maintain when you are in UK?
Does anybody have any extract from any guideline posted by the UK Immigration?

In my visa stamp, number of dependants mentioned as zero though I have applied for dependants and visas stamped on their passports. Is this common?
