the answer is NO. you cannot work as an employee or self employed.

Thanks for reply, but entrepreneurs are allowed to work as self employed or on contract. So taxi driver is also a self employed worker, isn't it?

When I said self employed I was referring to your taxi job, u can be self employed but the services must be at graduate level at or above level 4 described in the policy guidence, I will advice you to read the policy guidance which explains everything.

@ ushah, you are not allowed to work as a taxi driver if you are applying through 50k PSW route because Taxi drivers job is below NQF level 4.

Read the policy guidance very well as this is clearly mentioned as an example of jobs not allowed for PSW route.
The key to success is knowledge and hardwork, and to have faith.

If I do my business in week days that would be according to the requirements and do taxi on weekend then is it possible?

If you are under 200k cateogry, then may be you can. But if you are under 50k psw category then the answer is no. As you are twisting the rules, one can say as long you are doing the main business on the basis of which you got the visa the you can do the any odd work as a part time job.

But dont mind me saying that a cab driver is not an entrepreneur. You may not get caught or get in any problem but if it is your bad day or if things do not go as planned then it can ruin everything! You need to weigh out the risk... I hope I have made the point.... decision is yours!!

Thanks for advise, I have 4 months to apply for tier1 entrepreneur visa and I was considering to take test for taxi meanwhile. But now there is no need for that. Thanks for clarification
