Tax office reference number

Post by nmm » Mon Oct 21, 2013 1:03 pm

Hi friends,

Is tax office reference number is must?

My wife just joined the new job two weeks ago and her reference number is yet not created by her employer.

Can she write her old tax reference number of previous job or leave it blank?

Thanks

Hi

Tax number is not generated by employer, HMRC already allocated PAYE reference to your employer, mention PAYE ref no in the form.

Thanks for reply.

But she has not got her payslip or p60? She asked her office but they were not so helpful.

Is this PAYE ref no is same for all employees in an office or is it different for everyone? If she writes PAYE ref no of her collegue, will that be ok?
