No acknowledgement received for Child Benefit application

Post by sapphire73 » Tue Oct 22, 2013 9:02 am

Has any body applied for Child recently?

Child Benefit Office received my kids application on 15th Oct'13 but they have not returned origianl document so far, no acknowledgement letter either. I have submitted following document along with my application
- Birth Certificate (UK Born kid)
- Birth Certificate (Non UK born kid)
- Old and New Passport (Non UK born kid)
- BRP - ILR (Non UK born kid)
- Marriage Certificate

Any thoughts or experiences? Any advice ? Help...

You need to be patient, documents are usually returned 2-3 weeks after an application. If you have any concerns you should contact the HMRC.

Thanks Guru.

Today I have received my all originals document.

Don't know what is next, I am expecting some kind of approval letter from HMRC.

An award should follow at some point.
