Naturalised to be British

Hi eveybody! I applied for my naturalization as a British citizen with my son last June it's about 5 months ago now but my son is adopted by my British husband in the Philippines, I'm from Philippine. Most of my friends got theirs just 2 weeks just wondering is there any trouble ahead of me because of the adoption of my son. Don't want to wait for the citizenship letter that long and then the end of the day we will be refused. Is there anybody have experienced to apply with their children as adopted child I put my son as category 3(1) on the application. Thank you very much
