Hi,
I have currently on Tier 2 general visa working in Uk.
My wife and daughter they are currently in India and planning to apply for a visa as a dependant on me.
could anyone please suggest any additional documents required other than the below.
wife's documents:
1. Compete , signed Tier 2 dependent application form.
2. valid passport and TB test report for both my wife and daughter.
3. Proof of maintenance: my bank statement here in Uk showing £600 + £600 for the last 3 months
4. Proof of Marriage : Original Marriage certificate with english translate if not in english. Marriage pictures.
6.Proof of accommodation in UK: Tenancy agreement (agreement was for 6 months and is now expired but still living in the same address with no new tenancy agreement. Is this going to be a problem if I submit the expired tenancy agreement?)
7. An affidavit from me that I will be responsible for my wife and daughter living and accommodation. My Full contact details provided on this affidavit.
My Documents for my wife's application:
1. Attested copy of the first page of ur passport.
2. Attested copy of ur visa (biometric card)
3.Attested copies of ur last 6 months payslips (original can also be used)
4. A letter from my employer that I working with them, with full contact details of the employer.
could anyone please let me know if I need to submit anythin additonal to these documents? and do I need to take TB certificate for my 4 month old daughter?
and also please let me know what is the application fee per dependent in India?
Your help on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Prashanth

Yes u need to take TB certificate for ur 4 month old daughter but only from certain register clinics.
Click the following link.. read it and on the right corner of the page there is a list of clinics for TB screening from india.
Also the fee for each depandant is Rs 23650.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your email.
I am bit confused what would be the difference between "Crown dependencies" and "join family" in the dropdown menu.
On my biometric card it says "TIER 2 (GENERAL) LEAVE TO REMAIN" If I look for this Tier 2 points based system under the crwon dependencies it is showing INR 42000 at the same time in the brackets it is showing for ISLE OF MAN.
As you mentioned If I look under the Join family it does not mention Tier 2 General but at same time it shows work permit holders for which it shows the INR 23650.
Could you please let me know what would be the appropriate fee?
additionally I have looked on the UKBA website for the same application which is Tier 2 General dependent if applying in UK the application fee is £ 494.
It is bit confusing to me.
If you dont mind can I ask you, if you have applied from India, what visa was it?
appreciate you help.
Thanks & Regards,
Prashanth

I checked and confirmed that 23650 was for old work permit.
According to new change it's is clearly mention as below...
Dependants are charged the same fee as the main applicant unless otherwise stated. All dependants who are travelling must pay the application fee, whether or not they are included in the main applicant's passport.
So it will be 42000 fee for main applicant or Depandant

Hi,
additinal to the above,
please find the below link
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... ants/cost/
by clicking the arrow "Tier 2 (General, Sportsperson, Minister of Religion) application fees"
it is showing at the bottom the application fee if you are applying outside the UK for Tier 2 general dependeant is £494 for each family member. this equates to approximately 42000 INR at 1£ = 85 Rs.
I think the application fee of 23650 INR is for a different application.
please let me know if I am right.
Cheers,
Prashanth

Hi,
I am not sure of funds maintenance per dependent, but I have maintained more than £1000 per dependent just to be on the safe side.

Prashanth

Hi,
Im currently under Tier 2. Im gonna get married next month and bring my wife to the UK with me.
Is it okay if she has maintained the required funds in her account in India? or I should only maintain it in the UK for 3 months?
thanks

Hello there,
I am currently trying to bring my wife to uk as well (as a dependant of tier 2).
I am not sure which form should i fill in. according to my research related forms are:
1.
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... /vaf10.pdf
this one seems pretty out of date, i guess its not relevant.
2.
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _04-14.pdf
3. the online application on visa4uk.fco.gov.uk. if this one need to be filled in, which visa type should i choose? I cannot find dependant of tier 2 there
can anyone help? thank you very much
