Got a call at my office from british high commission inquiring about me; our HR department was
not present. Our support department head attended the call and confirmed my designation and nature or work; he however couldnt confirm my joining date and told the lady that only HR dept can give such information. He further advised to call after an hour when HR dept comes in.
No call after that.

24th May 2007
=================================

Went for finger scanning to BDHC karachi; the officer didnt really ask anything; just that how are you doing...thats it. He was very soft spoken and humble though.

BHDC wont let u in 15 mins before the scheduled time. Dont bring any one with you; things like mobile phones laptop are not allowed; neither there is any place where you can keep em; better leave them in yr car or home

28th May 2007

Waiting

I just wanna ask, do they take interviews during finger scanning or they schedule another appointment for personal interviews.

As mentioned earlier; the supprot dept head did not tell them my date of joining. Is it critical?? I mean its quite possible the HR is not present and very few ppl in the office are aware of joining dates; salary etc

People applying from Pakistan; Please share your expereinces and comment over my case

Thanks for sharing the information. I am also from Pakistan and am planning to apply for EC next month. In your list of documents you have listed TB medical test, Do we need to get this test done before applying for EC or do they tell us when we need to take the medical test??

Thanks

you have to get the tb certificate before applying for EC .

call the IOM numbers and theyll give u an appointment; here is their link

http://www.britishhighcommission.gov.uk ... 1455890087

after u get the packet from IOM they will send u to the respective clinic for TB test and if yr lucky u can collect it in the afternoon from IOM office; its a full day activity. Else collect it the next day.......

Please share yr experience regarding EC and the timings in paksitan...there are very few posts here from our country.

Congrats Adnan! and thanks for sharing your experience. I was just wondering if for EC applicaiton, together with other docs, you submitted the whole file that you had submitted to Home Office previously for HSMP approval...did u? Secondly do we really need to send Matriculation or FSc certificates and whats the point of attaching utility bills?

Amout showed in bank account

Post by jalal.din » Tue Jun 12, 2007 8:20 pm

aoa,
How much amount you showed in your bank account for EC. also you mentioned "Fax regarding the boarding and lodging responsibility" whats that for? How do you proved that you will not need the public funds on entry to UK? Have you added some documents which shows that you had been doing some efforts to get a job in UK?
