I have got an email from our caseworker saying:

I have received the post you sent with the evidence provided and have subsequently reassessed the decision. I can not divulge the decision what was made in this email, but the decision was dispatched yesterday and you should receive it some time soon

I guess that's not a good sign is it?

Hi everyone,

First of all, I would like to thank all the people who post here - you've been a great help.
I am an EEA national (Lithuanian), my husband non-EEA (American). We've recently applied for both EEA1 and EEA2.

Our timeline so far:

05/10/2013 (Saturday) - applications sent to UKBA
08/10/2013 - applications received at Durham
09/10/2013 - payment taken from our bank account
17/10/2013 - acknowledgement letter from UKBA (dated 09/10/2013)

No CoA so far...I called UKBA today (01/11/2013), but they just told me to wait another 2 weeks or so and call them back if we don't receive it by then. We are a bit worried, because it seems that most of the people receive their CoA in 2-3 weeks. We've been married for 2 years, so I really don't think there could be a problem with confirming his right to work, but who knows...

What is your experience on the waiting time for CoA?

Many thanks!

Am more inclined to say its a positive one, they dont generally contact people about decisions and if they do its generally positive, all the best.

I noticed you got married in since 2011, have you both being living in the UK for that duration and you have been exercising treaty right since your marriage? if yes then please note your husband can apply for permanent residence in 2016 not 2018, the RC is just a confirmation of his rights.

By the way immediately your spouse got married to you and you exercising treaty right then he cease to be an illegal immigrant.

He did only contact me be ause I emailed him asking if he has received the documents! Well if it is a negative outcome, than I know he simply breeched the European law as I am working and submitted all the evidence UKBA asked for in their form.

It ARRIVED! READ about the additional requested docs

Post by MariPP » Fri Nov 01, 2013 2:46 pm

Hello everyone,
After reading the vast amount of information and sending emails to the email provided on this and other forums, my EEA arrived today! Thank you for taking the time to put your experiences online.

I sent my application on June 12, 2013, received the confirmation a week later, but then it went silent. I went on various forums to read the time-frame, but it's a bit of mixed comments since everyone's case is different.

On October 7th I sent an email to immigration to inquire about getting my passport back and the help I got from the team was amazing. I do think that sending the email helped expedite my application. They truly went above and beyond to help me and even told me which documents I still needed to support my application. Two different individuals helped me, I sent in all the additional documents and then it was passed to the line manager, whom then passed the application to the caseworker. Even the caseworker emailed me for one additional document and two days later, I received the stamp on my passport with all my documents.

As my partner is self-employed, they requested the following:
we require further evidence that your EEA sponsor is self employed, bank statements specifically UK to show receipt of income, also evidence that he has registered with HMRC and he is paying national insurance etc. we expect to see this evidence if he is trading in the United Kingdom.

I was also asked to send pictures as evidence of our relationship.

Here's the email address I sent my emails to:
LNC22RODsInbox@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Best wishes to you all!

Just Updating about my COA, it did not state weather i have right to work or nor..But guess what...I got a nice job few days ago with the same letter HO sent me. Senior HR told me so long it did not mention any restrictions its fine.

Visa valid for 5 years, can't begin to tell how happy I am not to have to deal with the UKBA in the nearest future.

Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone!! I have read this post for quite some time. Its time I put my dates out here for those of you who will be applying via the eea2 route to get a realistic idea.

Date of Application - 27/08/2013
CoA received - 07/09/2013 [ dated 04/09/2013 ]
sent them loads of letters and email meanwhile.....
HO official called me to inform that they have posted my processed application back..gave me the date and ref no. to tarck it [ its feels really nice when they actually call you after you have tried almost 7 times to call them...]
RC received by post - 01/11/2013
duration - exactly 2 months 2 days

the home office can work fairly quick enough after all i guess...
best of luck for all those out there...just remember its just a process to confirm your rights that you have already got...so demand it.

Our case worker claims that the new decision has been dispatched last Thursday. Is it possible that a letter from the UKBA takes this long ?(we still didnt receive anything)

How did you manage to get in touch with case worker? Email or call. Please can enlighten us?
