Indian Visa

Hi,
I am applying for my wife's Indian visa . she is planning to stay in Indian for 3 months so I have put 3 months as duration of stay. is that mean , HCI issue 3 months visa only. If that is case then her return date is outside that period. Shall I say 6 months then or they will issue us 6 months visa ?

Usually it is issued for 6 months unless requested otherwise.
