Same thing here dude..got form 16 cpl of days back...But the interesting thing is from this yesr onwards no need of signed form 16 from the company..just a soft copy is enuf..i was waiting for one month to get the signed one..I got soft copy last month itself..

Hi Twisha/Achtung,

I am planning to apply in a week or so, and I also have a HDFC credit card.
Any reasons why HDFC couldn't carry on the transaction? I have a gold cardwith limit > 1 lac. Is it something to do with limit? total or per transaction?

Hi Aman ,

There should not be a problem for HDFC Credit card if all the details are correct. But make sure you have done atleast on einternation transaction from any UK site etc ... just to make sure that you dont need any kind of authorization aur activation for the type of CC that you have.

Hi IKON ... so i was right about my speculation abou tu getting the ref number by wednessday morning ....

Guys need all of your help...

For the past income (period Apr06 to Mar 07)...

I have the following documents:

1) Payslips
2) Form 16 and ITF
3) Bank statements
4) Letter from Employer stating my GROSS salary

I think I have mentioned this before...that in this period my company name changed a bit from XYZ Software India Pvt Ltd to XYZ Semiconductor India Pvt Ltd.

All the docs have the new name.

But my bank statement address still has the old name and the address...

What do you guys suggest?

Should I drop the bank statements? and do with docs 1,2and4.

Or I mention this discrepancy of the bank statements in a covering letter? I think this will complicate the issue...dont you think so?

Sorry to touch up on this Twisha, may I ask what reason did HDFC give to you? I am not sure how and what transaction to do..
Also I called up HDFC, they say there is no authorisation required. They were surprised if transaction did not go through. They say you can transact upto your limit.
Sorry to bug you and other members on this. I am in talks with a couple of companies there and need to have minimal delay.

Hi Achtung,

The docuemtns list for past earnings that you have given is pretty fine.

Am not seeing any problem for the change in copany name. If you can get a letter from current company stating the old name & effective date of change. Hence when u give the bank statements it wont be a problem.

Aman,HDFC doesnt not admit that they have problem in transactions that are done abroad for an indian bound CC. The main reason for transaction not getting authorised is "bank is not initmated in advance about this".

I would say if u have to use your CC , please inform HDFC in advance about the transaction amount & tentative transaction date. Try to get a Service request number for this whn you call the customer care. SO inspite of this if there is any problem you can actually get them pay for it at worst case.

To avoid all ths confusion, you can take a DD which wrks 10 outa 10 times..choice is yours...al de best

Just a quick question...plan to take a DD from ICICI bank...I dont have an account...my friend has...cud I ask my friend to issue me a DD? Favour of HSMP payable at London...

Hi Achtung,

Definitely YES..you can use your friends account for getting a DD.

Do's

1) Tak you friend with you, as he/she needs to sign the application for DD
2) Tak DD in your name in favour of Home office(check for correct infavour name)
3) Maintain sufficient funds(max 34,000 INR) in that account.
4) Check with the bank official about the time taken to issue the same.

After you get the DD check for the following

1) Check if the DD is not torn or any problem in contents of it.
2) check the In favour name is proper.
3) make sure that the LOndon payable DD is issued.

Hope this shd be clear.Please reply if u need anytg els.

All - Wanted to share a good news that my HSMP has been considered. This is happend in 9 days. This is my experience:

- Read through the Guidelines throughly
- Fill up application with blakc pen in Bold letters
- I have tacken Covering letters from this website and changed accordingly.
- I also had seperate letter explaining my Previous earnings claim.
-For each category i had kept all my original documents in a seperate cover and attached a sticky.

My questions:

-Where will i get for my next move?Please help me for my next level of application.

No need to submit Form16 for IT returns for the financial year 2006-07. I did so. But my only worry is that Twisha said of submitting the ITR to hsmp. I'm wondering how it could be since this year the IT dept gives back another form (Acknowledgement Form) and the duplicate of ITR itself.

Any comments Twisha?

Yes in fact I have the acknowledgment form which acts as ITR and also the original Form 16...I think these two should act as a good proof for our Tax Returns...Any comments on this?
