Good morning members

Exactly after 4 weeks of my appointment in NCS my credit card is showing a drop in balance this morning. I have not contacted UKBA at all because I could see what is happening on this forum and not wanted to call or email them unnecessarily just to hear that there is a delay of 4-7 weeks. Hopefully everybody else get their money deducted soon and also get the approval in time. My timeline is below.

Eligibility criteria: HSMP + Tier-1 + ILR
Method of application: NCS
Date of application: 15-10-2013
Payment method: Credit card
Date of receipt by UKBA: Unknown (no tracking number provided)
Date of acknowledgment: TBA
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 11-11-2013 (drop in balance and not appeared on transactions)
Date approval received: TBA
Date of ceremony: TBA

Finally received acknowledgement letter today dated 06/11.

I'm hoping for 2 weeks for them to process my application but it might be a bit too hopeful... Just really hope it's not going to be months of waiting!!!

zigleon and Eirikur any updates from your end?
The 7th and 8th October applicants seem to be getting their approvals.
Next would be the 9th applicants like us.
There might be a delay as our fees was taken a bit later. But I am a bit more optimistic this time.
Anyway keep us posted.

Nothing else yet.......
Also no updates yet.
there seems to be quite a gap between the very early October apllicants and those who applied after the 8th.
I think it has to do with the workload of applicants trying to get their application in before the changes on Oct 28th.

Hi all,

I checked my bank account approximately 10.00am, money was not taken out, I later check it at 13.20, to my surprise £874 had vanished from my account, a very good surprise. I am praying that it will be processed quickly, good luck to all of us waiting.

I applied through NCS on 02/10 and fees deducted and acknowledgement on 16/10. I emailed nationality helpdesk today and their reply was that no decision has yet been made on my application.

It appears as if Home Office are seriously busy and October applicants are going to be on a long time wait.

Naturalisation application

Post by Discoverer » Tue Nov 12, 2013 8:24 pm

I got some comfort by observing on the forum, that I am not the only early October applicant whose case has not even started processing (being allocated to a case worker).

Date applied: 30/09 through NCS Croydon
Type: WP + Tier 1 + ILR
Receipt by HO: 02/10
Fee deducted:14/10
Acknowledgement received:16/10 dated 14/10

The response of my email sent to HO yesterday was that they have not yet arrived at a decision on my case and a case worked has also not been assigned yet. If the HO needs any info or makes a decision, I will be contacted in writing....

Its quite annoying, but there is not much that can be done. Though its disturbing to see that the HO has approved some cases (very similar to mine) that were applied around 10th October and have no system to que up the cases being received.

I am in the same situation. I have applied on 30/09, Received by UKBA on 01/10 and fees debited on 11/10.

I have received information from UKBA today, that my application has been allocated to the team but they cannot confirm if been allocated to specific case worker.

My local NCS said if I phoned back the next day they could give me one if I wanted it, but I didn't bother.

Dear Krish,

Thank you for the reply.

All I can advise at this point is that your application is still ongoing and that no decision has yet been made on your application.

Looks like they have not assigned my case to caseworker team.
