unmarried partner visa-help/advice

Post by virus10 » Thu Jun 14, 2007 11:18 pm

Hi, my partner is in NZ still awaiting the outcome of his visa, it has been 9 weeks now. He went for the interview and they said they would let him know in a couple of days, that was over 2 weeks ago. Does anybody know what could be delaying it? One thing that concerns us greatly is that in the interview they said that since he SEPARATED from his ex-wife, he hasnt been entitled to live in the UK, we thought it was after they were DIVORCED, that is one of the reasons he left the country, to avoid breaking the rules, he told them this in the interview.
Do you think because of this we now have no chance? We thought we were doing the right thing. We have all the other documentation to prove our relationship, so this is the only thing that I can think of that maybe delaying it.
Please help
