Spouse English Language Test IELTS or TOEIC A1 English Test

Hi,

Im living in UK, and my wife in Pakistan given IELTS test

but today I heard about some other test which is Approved by UKBA

it is mentioned on this website as
TOEIC A1 English language test (approved by UKBA) for candidates who want to enter UK on spouse visa.

and it put me in hell of confusion...

Please let me know which one is approved English language test?

According to thisthread (and why have you started another, as it's clear the information in that is relevant, if only for the avoidance of misdirection on this new matter posted here?) you are a PBS migrant, so I wonder why you are enquiring about language tests for your dependant?

So you mean, there is no Requirement for English Language test for a spouse visa for UK ???

Yes, there certainly is for a spouse visa application but that would not be something your wife would qualify for. Her application would be as the dependant of a PBS migrant.

I think the problem could be that you are reading random threads on the forum that cover all immigration categories, rather than simply reading the requirements for her category that can be found on the UKBA site.
